Did you know that it’s actually possible to create a beautiful iPad app in PowerPoint? All you need are several basic features of PowerPoint and iSpring Converter to turn the created content into an HTML5 application.

A PowerPoint-based HTML5 app for iPad can be used for an entire universe of various applications. For the present purpose, we have transformed this article into an HTML5 tutorial for iPad using PowerPoint:

Create HTML5 App for iPad

Download the original PowerPoint file.

Step 1: Adjust Slide’s Orientation

Before you start designing your app’s content, adjust its orientation. To create an application for iPad, choose the 4:3 aspect ratio. Depending on the kind of content you have, choose the slide’s orientation. Remember that with iPad’s auto-rotate feature – which is fully supported by iSpring – you can select either Portrait or Landscape at your pleasure.

Step 2: Create App’s Content

Once you’ve adjusted the slide’s orientation, start designing your content in PowerPoint.

Step 3: Build Navigation in Your App

To build navigation into your iPad application, use PowerPoint’s hyperlinks and triggers. You can create navigation buttons and insert hyperlinks that take the user forward and backward.

Step 4: Convert Content to HTML5

After you’ve designed your app in PowerPoint, it’s time to convert it to the HTML5 format. Go to the iSpring Converter tab and click Publish. Switch off all player options so that the project doesn’t look like a presentation.

Step 5: Upload Created File to the Web

The created HTML5 file should be uploaded to a server or it can be published directly to FTP. After you get the presentation’s HTTP URL, use it to insert the presentation into a website.

If you don’t already have your own web hosting, try a free trial of iSpring Cloud for hosting and sharing your app.
